Why Censor it in the UAE?

Most of the tourists and residents here in the UAE ask themselves the question after leaving any 18+ movie in the UAE “why would the national media council (NMC) of the UAE make 18+ movies and at the same time it simultaneously censors the movies?”. The UAE cares so much for their sons’ and daughters’ local culture and they wouldn’t let some type of entertainment like movies to ruin this routine.

Mohamad Mutawa, a senior staff member in the NMC tells us the summary of his job and says that: “90 per cent of materials-films, music, video games- is from outside our culture”.  Morgan Freeman is entirely missing from the UAE version of Bruce Almighty because censors cut all depictions of God.  Mutawa concedes: ‘People see things differently. Some see only beauty in certain scenes, whereas others [will be offended]. I might enjoy a film, but we have to do what the law says. There are rules.’ In this generation, all what our kids search for are actually the sexual scenes found in these movies, but the NMC helps reducing this to their kids although the kids still search for these missing scenes through the internet but the NMC is there to ban these sites as well. Juma Alleem, director of the NMC’s censorship department actually confirmed that seeing the uncensored movies on DVD is not illegal because ‘it is a personal effect. There is no official intervention because it is for personal use.’ But that doesn’t actually mean that they don’t take things into consideration, they check the DVD or Blu-ray disk and if it contains 1 or 2 sexual scenes the DVD is released but in the case that it contains more than 2, the DVD is banned from being published.

One of the most important and vital ways of making and keeping a country successful is making sure of preserving the moral education of their children and keeping them safe from such contents that will affect them adversely, therefore what the UAE is doing here is not considered wrong or illegal. These are the country’s rules, if one doesn’t respect their rules, laws, and cultures then one should search for another country that has the rules, laws, and cultures that he/she is comfortable with.

THESE ARE THE COUNTRY’S RULES, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, IT’S EITHER YOU TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!

Using Drones to Provide Medical Aid to War-torn Countries

Delivering medical aid to war-torn countries is consistently getting more and more difficult because of the worsening insurance for the health workers and facilities. Adding to that, medical aid is imperative because it aids civilians who are injured during conflict and also have little to no physicians and medical aid to assist them. Medical aid includes: sending health workers, constructing health facilities and providing health care services like medication and surgical procedures.

The United Nations has taken many steps towards achieving the goal of making it easier to deliver medical aid to war-torn countries. The World Health Organization has launched new programs that focus on improving the circumstances in which the area of conflict takes place to provide medical aid. In addition, the World Health Organization has been training health workers across conflict areas to help in satisfying the need of health care workers caused by workers’ departure due to insecurities.

A possible solution to this matter is the use of drones. They have shown promising results in testing and have already began taking part in a few supply delivery missions. A great example of the use of drones to supply medical aid is Zipline which has provided their services to multiple countries including Rwanda. Moreover, there is another great example which is Adreas Raptopoulos and his startup company called Matternet that manufactures unmanned aerial delivery vehicles or UAVs. Raptopoulos likes to refer to Matternet’s UAVs as the Apple products of the drone space. “We want this company to be at the intersection of the best technology and excellence in design,” Adreas says. “We want to sell a vehicle to you that you can operate with an unprecedented ease of use.” Expanding upon that, Drones have very minimal draw backs; not only do they eliminate the factor of loss of lives during land convoys to provide aid, but they also have the advantage of being able to access areas which are inaccessible by land convoys. Finally, probably the largest advantage of using drones is indeed the fact that they get is of a big issue which is the safety of the medical aid whilst it is being transported. A significant amount of medical aid is lost every year before reaching the intended target due to something going wrong while delivering that aid, and what drones have is simply a higher success rate at delivering medical and humanitarian aid.

In conclusion, the world is consistently moving toward using technology and automated services, and the subject of providing medical aid to war-torn countries is no different. Drones can open the road to lower rates of lives being lost as collateral damage of war.

Who is Ruling the United States?

It is common courtesy to not intervene in other nations’ personal issues that might have a huge impact on the future. When Russia decided to interfere in the elections some weren’t happy.

It has been confirmed that the Russian Federation has interfered in the US 2016 Presidential Cabinet. The reason, possibly reasons of the interference is to fail Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

In addition to that, some agencies suspect that Russia has attempted the hack in order to leak documents to WikiLeaks. Others doubt the legitimacy of the elections. This doubt is further supported by the repeated contacts by “Trump Associates” with senior Russian intelligence officials. President Barack Obama has vowed the US will retaliate against Russia “at a time and place of our own choosing” for Moscow’s hacking attempts to influence the country’s elections.

Reports hint that there’s no evidence the Trump staff discussed Russian interference in the election — or that they even discussed Trump at all — and it doesn’t disclose whether any current administration officials were among the staffers who had been in contact with Russia. But some reports state that: “We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump.”

The Russian hack attempts have a lot of controversy behind them as they were suspected to happen in since June 2016 but the threat was found to be false as the FBI servers and accounts were thought to be in danger but then found to be secure.

So what does President Donald Trump think if the issue?

The current president of the United States – Donald Trump – acknowledges the interference from the Russian Federation, but refuses that it had a major effect on the elections and that it had “no effect” on the outcome. But can that actually be believed?

Well, frankly, it might not. As everyone might already know, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have a deep rooted friendship. In addition to that, it has been confirmed that the interference was done to tamper with Hillary Clinton’s chances to win the presidency.

Finally, the interference became notorious because of its long duration as it has been suspected months before the election date other than that it raises suspicions about the legitimacy of the elections and the security of the United States of America.

And at the end of all that, some questions couldn’t help but get brought up. Did Donald Trump legitimately win the elections? How secure is the United States? Are we possibly looking at a US-Russia Alliance?

China Tops the World for Air Pollution

China is recently battling worst pollution of the year. The poor air quality led the government to order factories, power plants, and schools to close. But some factories failed to respond and continued to produce; according to State-run agency Xinhua reported that an official in Henan province said “factory production was continuing and that up to 4,000 factories had not stopped production as ordered by the government.” In one city in northern Hebei province, people wrote on social media that schools were kept open although the area had the highest pollution threat. Media reports in the central province of Henan also showed pictures of students completing school activities in the dirty open air. The Ministry of Environmental Protection said that only “a small number of businesses” had not taken the bans seriously and continued operations. Driving restrictions were also put in effect and hundreds of flights were cancelled because of poor visibility.  The ministry said that more than 100,000 drivers had been fined for violating the traffic bans.

Air pollution linked to 1.2 million premature deaths in China. The effects of environmental pollution on humans are mainly physical, but can also turn into neuro-affections in the long term. The best-known troubles to us are respiratory, in the form of allergies, asthma, irritation of the eyes and nasal passages, or other forms of respiratory infections. Notably, these well spread affections can be observed when air pollution is high in cities, when the weather gets hot, for instance. On top of that, environmental pollution has been proven to be a major factor in the development of cancer.

Edward Wong wrote in the New York Times, “Outdoor air pollution contributed to 1.2 million premature deaths in China in 2010, nearly 40 percent of the global total, according to a new summary of data from a scientific study on leading causes of death worldwide. Figured another way, the researchers said, China’s toll from pollution was the loss of 25 million healthy years of life from the population. The data on which the analysis is based was first presented in the ambitious 2010 Global Burden of Disease Study, which was published in December in The Lancet, a British medical journal.”

The World Health Organization said last year that 7 million people die annually because of exposure to polluted air. China has struggled for years to control its air pollution problems, which are caused by the burning of coal in factories and power plants, as well as vehicle use.

China is the base of forming materials, raw metals, and so on. Most of the world’s countries depend on China for providing them with these materials. That is why China is high in pollution, it contains copious factories and power plants. China is well known for burning large amounts of coals in factories and power plants, which is a major effect in increasing the pollution. Air pollution is killing about 4,400 people every single day, according to a new study.

Researchers from Berkeley Earth, calculated that about 1.6 million people in China die every year from health issues caused by the country’s notoriously polluted air. According to the study, more than one-third of the Chinese population regularly breathe air that would be considered “unhealthy” by U.S. standards. “It’s a very big number,” the study’s lead author, Robert Rohde, told The Associated Press. “It’s a little hard to wrap your mind around the numbers.” The study looked at four months of data from 1,500 ground stations across China, Taiwan and South Korea. Previous studies have estimated that between 1.2 and 2 million people die due to air pollution in China every year.

Adding to what has been said, will China put strict regulations to ensure that factories and all polluting industries are moved out from the city? Or will it remain the same and increase over the years?

Football Replayed!

Football rules have changed a lot during the past years, for example the shootout rule years ago would be applied if a cup match, a final match, or a match with one leg would end as a tie, but nowadays you don’t see that because this rule has been changed to penalties. Now football is starting to have some improvements thanks to technology. Technology has surprised us with a gift in 2014 which was the goal line technology, which would help decide if a doubted ball would be a goal or not by seeing if it passed the white line or not. Now in 2016-2017 football and technology have united again to present for us the advanced video replay, which would allow the referee to look back to a threatening and unsure decision he made and double check. Do you know why this is so important?

It is of great importance that FIFA has lately added this amazing feature to the beautiful game of football. Usually, before making video replay legal in the football world, you would find very unfair referees either it is to your advantage or not; some referees would love to grant a team many penalties, some would not even count a penalty no matter how much the team deserves it, and some referees would cancel some goals by the excuse that the goal was an offside when it is really not or it was a handball when the ball was nowhere near the player’s hands, while some referees would count the goal no matter how wrong it is. Many teams throughout the world have suffered from unfair referees making this the main reason of losing a league or a local cup or sometimes even an international cup. But now thanks to the new FIFA president Gianni Infantino referees can no longer be unfair because there is evidence using the video replay which is also supervised by a number of other people in the studio.

This extraordinary type of technology has been recently used in the last FIFA Club World Cup where Real Madrid won the title on the Osaka, Japanese ground. It has been used during a match Japan’s Kashima Antlers and Atletico Nacional, where the referee referred to the video playback to watch back on a doubtful play where it might or might not be a penalty for Japan’s Kashima Antlers; after watching the playback carefully the referee decides that the ball is a penalty which then resulted with a goal and a win to Japan’s Kashima Antlers.

The fantastic new rule solves many problems for the game of football, in example, hatred and unfairness. Hatred and unfairness in football would decrease by a lot since nothing in the game would be or even seem unfair. Now each team which deserved and achieved great results in football will not lose a cup because of an unfair referee but rather because of unluckiness. Special thanks to the greatest president of all time Gianni Infantino.

Elon Musk – The Current Greatest Inventor

Elon Musk and his great inventions.

Who is the next Nikola Tesla? Believe it or not, the inventor of Tesla, Elon Musk, is the current greatest inventor, opening new doors for humanity. It has been long since we discovered a new groundbreaking theory or invention. This has come to an end. The inventor Elon Musk’s creations elevated our technologies and knowledge. From premium electric cars, to reusable rockets, these inventions will contribute loads to the society.

Elon Musk is a 39-year-old engineer and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and CTO of SpaceX; co-founder, CEO, and product architect of Tesla Inc.; co-founder and chairman of SolarCity; co-chairman of OpenAI; co-founder of Zip2; and founder of X.com, which merged with Confinity and took the name PayPal. Musk has stated that the goals of SolarCity, Tesla, and SpaceX revolve around his vision to change the world and humanity. His goals include reducing global warming through sustainable energy production and consumption, and reducing the “risk of human extinction” by “making life multiplanetary” by setting up a human colony on Mars.

With the creation of SpaceX, Musk is looking forward to a future of cheap space transportation using high technology and minimum amount of fossil resources needed. Musk also has a goal to use this technology to colonize Mars. To achieve this goal, he created the Falcon rocket family of multi-use rockets that can be launched and reused over, and over again. These rockets can be launched into space, landed on Earth, and launched again.

Coming in with Tesla, the most famous electric cars company, the world will become greener and we will be able to reduce global warming. Electric cars help in many ways: We don’t have to pay for expensive fuel, we don’t have to worry about air pollution due to the burning of fuel, and it’s easier to maintain an electric car than to maintain a normal fuel-powered car. Tesla cars also have the feature of autopilot, making it easier for people that cannot drive to travel wherever they want.

Most recently, Musk proposed the concept of Hyperloop. Hyperloop is a proposed mode of passenger and freight transportation that would propel a pod-like vehicle through a near-vacuum tube at more than airline speed. The pods would accelerate to cruising speed gradually using a linear electric motor and glide above their track using passive magnetic levitation or air bearings. The tubes could also go above ground on columns or underground, eliminating the dangers of grade crossings. The Hyperloop will make it so easy to travel around the world since it moves with a very high speed.

With all of this in mind, everyone should know that the world is coming to a huge change soon. Our future is going to shine. A lot of everyday activities and tasks will become easier to do in the near future due to the creations of Elon Musk, the great inventor. Without any arguments, Elon Musk is the current greatest inventor.
